I’m Laura, and I started First Treasures back in 2013, just after my first child was born. Like so many new mums, I was completely in awe of how tiny and perfect he was and wished I could freeze time. That’s what led me to create my very first 3D hand and foot castings – something special to keep forever.

It all began at my kitchen table, making keepsakes for friends and family. Before long, word spread and I realised how much I loved creating these little pieces of family history for other people too. The joy on parents’ faces when they saw the finished casts made me want to turn this passion into something more.

With a background in marketing and a lot of determination, First Treasures has grown into what it is today – a busy, welcoming studio in the Essex countryside where I’ve now created over 9,000 baby hand and foot castings, family handclasps and outprint tiles for local families.

My own two children aren’t so little anymore, and I often find myself wondering where the years have gone. I’m so glad I made their castings when they were tiny, and it means a lot to know I’ve helped so many other parents capture those same precious moments too.
