Welcome to First Treasures

Since opening in 2013, First Treasures has created over 9,000 beautifully detailed hand and foot castings for families across Essex and beyond. Every casting is made in my countryside studio near Chelmsford, where I take care to capture every tiny line, crease and fingernail that makes your child unique.

Studio castings at First Treasures are nothing like the at-home kits you may have seen. Each piece is created using professional materials and techniques, shaped and refined entirely by hand to ensure the highest quality finish. My years of experience mean the process is calm, gentle and completely baby-safe – always done at your child’s pace.

During your appointment, I’ll guide you through the layout, design and colour options, showing examples of frame styles and finishes so you can choose exactly what feels right for you. The casting itself takes just a few minutes, but the real magic happens afterwards as each piece is carefully prepared, sanded and painted in delicate layers to bring out every detail.

Whether it’s a newborn casting, a family handclasp or a special keepsake for grandparents, every First Treasures creation tells a story and becomes a memory you can hold onto forever.
